Both roles require strategic thinking and leadership, but the Growth Director's role is broader and more data-driven, often in dynamic environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Growth Director, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Growth Director, you need expertise in business development, data-driven marketing strategies, and revenue optimization, often supported by a degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM systems, analytics platforms like Google Analytics, and marketing automation tools is typically required. Strong leadership, collaborative problem-solving, and excellent communication skills help drive cross-functional initiatives and inspire teams. These skills are essential for identifying growth opportunities, executing scalable strategies, and ensuring sustainable business expansion.

How does a Growth Director typically collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to drive company expansion?

A Growth Director plays a pivotal role in aligning the strategies of product, marketing, and sales teams to accelerate business growth. They often facilitate regular cross-functional meetings, coordinate joint initiatives such as product launches or targeted campaigns, and use data-driven insights to inform shared objectives. By fostering open communication and ensuring that each department’s efforts are strategically integrated, Growth Directors help remove silos and drive cohesive, scalable growth. This collaboration not only streamlines processes but also maximizes the impact of each team’s contributions.

What does a Growth Director do?

A Growth Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth, increase revenue, and expand the company's customer base. They work closely with marketing, sales, product, and analytics teams to identify opportunities for scaling the business. Their role often includes data analysis, experimentation with new market approaches, and optimizing customer acquisition channels. Growth Directors also set measurable goals, monitor key performance indicators, and adjust tactics to ensure sustained growth. They play a critical part in shaping the company's overall direction and long-term success.

7. Take care of people.
We are highly-selective in the companies and products that we onboard. We respect how critical manufacturing is to our clients' business, and our method ensures we can consistently deliver on our commitments to them. Our WHY is to "Alleviate the headache of manufacturing and make it the easiest part of our clients business." Our MISSION is to provide enriching careers for our people, to uplift our client partners, and to benefit society through our products and services. We are a Certified Benefit Corporation and we take great pride in being a great place to work.
Key Accountability: the Business Growth Manager will secure new client relationships and develop other avenues for the business to grow.
Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Marketing Process Ownership: own the end-to-end sales and marketing process for the company, including prospecting, qualification, needs assessment, solutions/proposal development, contract negotiation, and transition to commercialization.
  • Leader, yet Individual Contributor: you will have significant business acumen and history of leading with influence. While this is an individual contributor role, it is a member of the senior leadership team of the company and we certainly value a candidate with prior experience in sales team management. Leadership is a key component for this position, even though it has no direct reports.
  • Collaboration: to successfully close new clients you will need to quickly learn our manufacturing processes, which will require heavy collaboration with all departments in the company. Each new client brings special requirements for which you will be responsible for reviewing & securing buy-in from across the company.
  • Persistent Networking: the majority of the company's prospects arrive through network referrals and our relationships. You will be the primary touch point for these referrals and will be a steward of the company's external relationships and reputation. You will seek out ways to further these relationships and establish partnerships with other manufacturers and service providers in the industry. You will have a disciplined, persistent process of maintaining communications with key prospects and industry partners.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain rigorous hygiene within the company CRM (HubSpot), providing accurate, data-driven revenue forecasts and pipeline visibility to the operations and finance teams to ensure seamless production planning.
  • Gross Profit Accountability: Actively manage deal structuring, pricing negotiations, and product mix to not only drive top-line revenue but achieve specific Gross Profit targets across all service lines.
  • Marketing: oversee the company's annual marketing initiatives, including: trade show attendance/coordination (1 per quarter), website performance and inquiries, advertisements, sponsorships, and any marketing agency relationships.
  • Integrated Platform Expansion: Lead the strategic rollout and sales execution of Circle's new integrated service offerings, specifically packaging brokerage, ingredient sourcing, and logistics. You will be instrumental in transforming Circle from a pure contract manufacturer into a comprehensive beverage supply platform.

The experiences that a qualified candidate will have are:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles within a business-to-business B2B industry, with experience in beverage manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Prior accountability for revenue metrics, with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that have driven revenue growth. Preferred: experience as the sole Sales & Marketing professional for an organization, with demonstrated success delivering results.
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills. Successful deal management is a must, including internal negotiations with key stakeholders such as finance, legal, and operations to successfully bring a deal to closure.
  • Preferred: experience in the beverage industry or related fields.

Position Details:
Full-time, Salaried Exempt leadership position. Eligible for management bonus program and sales incentive.
What we offer:
  • Company-sponsored benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Elective benefits including 401(k), Long-Term and Short-Term Disability, and more
  • Progressive PTO schedule
