As a wholly owned subsidiary of Boston Omaha Corporation (NYSE: BOC), LINK owns and operates billboard assets across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, results-oriented leader with billboard industry experience to oversee a growing market, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to the continued success of a rapidly expanding organization.

Billboard Industry Experience Required

This position will be based in Green Bay, WI.

Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the market, including revenue growth, expense management, operational excellence, and team development. This role oversees sales, operations, administration, and personnel while ensuring the market meets or exceeds financial and strategic objectives.

This position also requires proven sales experience, as the General Manager will play an active role in driving revenue growth. In addition to overseeing market operations, the General Manager is expected to maintain a personal book of business, cultivate new and existing customer relationships, identify sales opportunities, and contribute directly to achieving market sales objectives. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong track record in both sales leadership and individual sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to achieve revenue goals, manage expenses, and drive EBITDA growth.
  • Maintain and actively grow a personal book of business, serving as an individual contributor while leading the market's overall sales efforts and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to measure and improve market performance.
  • Protect company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and foster a culture of continuous growth and innovation.
  • Oversee sales, operations, accounting, creative, and administrative functions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, performance, challenges, and successes.
  • Establish sales objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), account management strategies, and market benchmarks.
  • Maintain and grow a personal book of business while supporting overall market sales efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both prospective and existing customers.
  • Review and approve contracts, commission structures, rate adjustments, promotional initiatives, and lead distribution.
  • Ensure customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customers, community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
  • Promote ethical business practices and uphold the company’s reputation in the marketplace.
  • Ensure quality control of advertising artwork and campaign execution.
  • Monitor contract accuracy, commission payments, and pricing approvals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Billboard industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing a market, business unit, or sales organization.
  • Experience developing and implementing sales strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong customer relationship management experience.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and business management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven coaching, mentoring, and people management capabilities.
  • Sound business judgment and industry expertise.

Why Join Link Media Outdoor?

  • Join one of the fastest-growing outdoor advertising companies in the United States.
  • Lead an established and growing market with significant opportunities for expansion.
  • Work alongside talented professionals in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Be part of an organization that values innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, incentive opportunities, and benefits.
