Job description

This Chief of Staff (COS) will be supporting the Group President of our Analog and Mixed-Signal Group (AMG) as well as our Intelligent Sensing Group (ISG). AMG designs and develops analog and mixed-signal devices for a broad base of end-users in the Automotive, Industrial, Computing, and Mobile end-markets. We implement a platform-based design approach to rapidly proliferate product portfolios offering technology that provides our customers with system-level differentiation. ISG develops highperformance, image sensing technologies that enhance human safety and productivity for Automotive ADAS, Industrial Robotics and Automation, and Aerospace & Defense applications.  

The Group COS is a critically significant role that enables the Group President to work more effectively across internal and external stakeholders. This role is highly strategic and execution heavy, requiring a blend of focus, flexibility, and the ability to get things done by pressing through barriers, while maintaining strong cross-functional alignment and focus on business results.  

The ideal candidate brings the ability to: work with diverse and sometimes challenging scenarios, creative and innovative problem-solving skills, semiconductor product experience across multiple domains, and an AI-first mindset to modernize workflows and raise the pace of execution. 

The Group COS role has three main functions: 

1) Operationally runs the AMG and ISG staff by managing Group staff meetings, driving key Group programs cross functionally, and proactively delivering, solutions to organizational and execution-related issues  

2) Leads Group strategy coordination by driving the annual strategic planning process, contributing to organizational evaluation, and applying creative, AI-first thinking to shape and improve AMG and ISG's long-term direction 

3) Represents and speaks on behalf of the Group President in various corporate forums and prepares and synthesizes high quality content for executive consumption

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $178,135.00 to $320,505.00 Range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Responsibilities:

  • Lead staff meetings and own strategic, operational, and cross functional programs end to end
  • Lead the annual AMG and ISG strategic cycle, applying structured thinking, planning, and problem-solving leading to high-quality, compelling Group strategic plans
  • Define and monitor the right metrics across the organization and establish clear accountability for performance against them
    Plan and coordinate Board of Director and Earnings materials with clarity, quality, and the right executive-level messaging
  • Plan and coordinate preparation for the Group President's critical external meetings with Customers, Investors and Partners
    Act as a trusted thought partner and sounding board to senior leadership in the Groups, bringing insight into interpersonal dynamics, organizational behavior, and team effectiveness
    Work seamlessly with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and other support functions to push initiatives forward and get things done
  • Exhibit high workload tolerance and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
