We are actively seeking an IT Director to join a construction organization. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced IT executive who can shape enterprise technology strategy, strengthen cybersecurity, guide major systems initiatives, and support a geographically distributed operation with a strong commitment to safety, accountability, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and steady leader who knows how to translate business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions while building trust across departments. In this role, you will oversee IT operations, enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, vendors, and budget planning while helping the business operate more efficiently and securely.

Reasons to Join This Team:
  • Join a company where your work helps support critical infrastructure and gives employees a direct stake in the organization’s success.
  • Step into a visible leadership role with executive partnership and the opportunity to influence technology direction across a multi-site operation.
  • Lead meaningful modernization efforts that improve reliability, productivity, security, and long-term scalability.
  • Be part of a culture that values accountability, operational excellence, and thoughtful investment in people, systems, and growth.
  • Enjoy a competitive compensation package with bonus potential, strong health coverage, paid time off, and equity-oriented programs.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and advance a practical IT strategy that supports company priorities, field and office operations, and future expansion.
  • Direct the performance, security, and scalability of core infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and related systems.
  • Establish and strengthen enterprise cybersecurity practices, including incident response readiness, vulnerability management, user awareness efforts, and third-party risk oversight.
  • Own annual operating and capital planning for IT, balancing business needs, cost discipline, and return on investment.
  • Lead vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and technology service agreements to secure strong service and long-term value.
  • Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning so critical operations remain protected and resilient.
  • Oversee technology controls, audit support, and compliance efforts tied to data protection, privacy, and broader regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate new and emerging technologies to determine where they can improve operations, reduce risk, or create competitive advantage.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and department heads to align systems, processes, and technology investments with business goals.
  • Guide enterprise application initiatives, including implementation, optimization, and integration of platforms such as ERP, financial systems, and construction management tools.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, within the architecture, engineering or construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a strong track record of equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated success designing, scaling, and supporting enterprise technology solutions for diverse user groups across multiple locations.
  • Expert-level capability with Windows Server environments, the Microsoft ecosystem, cybersecurity practices, and enterprise software project leadership.
  • Experience developing IT budgets, long-range investment plans, and financially sound technology roadmaps.
  • Strong background in systems infrastructure, business continuity planning, audit readiness, and IT general controls.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or ITIL are valued.
  • A proactive, low-ego leadership style with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build credibility with executives, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex technical issues into clear business decisions and actionable plan
