We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. This position involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The Residential Trainer will work closely with residents to enhance their quality of life through engaging activities and personalized care. Call (305) 796-5788

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
  • Assist residents with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
  • Document and report any changes in residents' behavior or health status.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
  • Support residents in managing personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
  • Foster an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and encouragement for all individuals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a group home, nursing home, retirement home, or similar setting is preferred.
