Heaton Bennett Insurance is seeking a motivated and experienced Group Benefits Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage an existing book of group benefits business while actively growing our portfolio through proactive marketing, cold calling, and referral development. Responsibilities

Manage and service an existing group benefits book of business, ensuring high retention and client satisfaction

Conduct regular account reviews and renewals with existing clients

Drive new business growth through targeted marketing campaigns, cold calling, and networking

Develop and work a referral pipeline from existing client relationships and community contacts

Present and explain group benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, life) to employers and employees

Stay current on product offerings, carrier updates, compliance requirements, and industry trends

Collaborate with internal team members to ensure seamless enrollment and onboarding experiences

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system

Represent the agency at community events, industry associations, and networking functions

Other duties may be assigned as needs arise or as required to support principal duties


Requirements

23 years of experience in group benefits or employee benefits consulting

Active Life & Health Insurance license in the state of Texas (required)

Proven track record of client retention and business development

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software
