Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
Required Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a FullScope Poly
• Candidates must be US Citizens;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance services with at least 3 of these years in a supervisor role;
• High school, vocational, or trade school diploma or equivalent; and
• Some computer proficiency required along with good English reading and writing skills.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced hands-on Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for a position located in Springfield, Virginia.The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all landscaping and grounds, earthworks, retention ponds, roads, sidewalks, perimeter trail, fencing, gates, and parking areas. Duties will include overseeing turf and lawn care; leaf and debris removal; fertilization and weed control; planting bed maintenance; watering and irrigation; retention pond and green roof maintenance; snow removal and de-icing. This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations.
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Direct, manage, and schedule all grounds maintenance staff and subcontractors;
• Ensure staff and subcontractor compliance with the Contractor's Emergency Response Plan, Safety Plan, and Environmental Compliance Plan;
• Oversee and maintain the grounds supply inventory;
• Effectively interface with the clients verbally and in writing;
• Reduce the environmental impacts of work performed under the contract by using environmentally sound practices, processes, and products; and
• Provide and document quality control inspections throughout the site.
