Grounds Maintenance & Production Operator


Position Summary


The Grounds Maintenance & Production Operator is responsible for maintaining facility grounds and supporting manufacturing operations. This position spends approximately 50% of the time performing lawn care and grounds maintenance, and 50% of the time operating production equipment, handling materials, and supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working both outdoors and in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation: Starting rate $20 per hour, not including incentives

Schedule: We currently operate on 10-hour, 4-day-a-week shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6 AM to 4:30 PM. New hire positions are filled based on the company's needs.


Essential Duties


Grounds Maintenance (50%)

  • Mow, trim, and maintain facility grounds and landscaping.
  • Operate lawn care equipment, utility vehicles, and hand tools.
  • Remove debris, maintain fence lines, and keep grounds clean and presentable.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
  • Perform basic maintenance and inspections of grounds equipment.


Production Operations (50%)

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks and basic machine inspections.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in production areas.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
