At Adelante, we're looking for an Assessment Specialist who is passionate about serving older adults and ensuring they have access to nutritious meals and essential community resources. Every assessment you complete helps connect local seniors with services that allow them to remain healthy, independent, and engaged.
What You Will Do:

 As an Assessment Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting our Senior Meal Services program by:

  • Conducting initial assessments and reassessments for seniors participating in meal and transportation programs.
  • Meeting with home-delivered meal participants in their homes to complete assessments.
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate participant records.
  • Tracking reports, mileage, and program documentation with attention to detail.
  • Providing nutrition education to program participants.
  • Serving as a friendly point of contact for seniors, families, and community partners.
  • Assisting with community outreach events and helping connect more seniors to available services.
  • Supporting general office operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and completing administrative tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:


Job Type: Full Time | Monday thru Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.


Pay: From $16.90 per hour.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year experience in food preparation required. 
  • Two years experience working with seniors, or people with disadvantages preferred.
  • Bilingual capacity (English and Spanish)
  • Basic computer skills, including experience working with necessary word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

Other Requirements: Must pass pre-employment drug and TB screening, Agency, Federal and State Department of Health background investigations.  Must possess a valid NM driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.  Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record.  This position frequently sits at a desk or workstation - must be able to sit, stand or otherwise perform typing/keyboarding tasks as required to perform the essential duties of position.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs., occasionally.  Must be able to work standard work hours as required to fulfill job responsibilities.  Adelante is a drug free workplace.  Adelante is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
