Title: Industrial Engineer

Location: Franklin, Indiana

Duration: Full Time and Onsite from Day 1. 

Job Description:

The Industrial Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing program schedules, process developments, and analysis in various organizational settings regarding internal and external business goals. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & have the ability to meet company objectives within the timelines, specifically related to your assigned projects.

Essential Responsibilities   

  • Development of S.O.P's and W.I's.
  • Provide metrics to senior managers on process utilization.
  • Conduct Process Capabilities Studies.
  • Track FPY requirements and report.
  • Industrial / Manufacturing engineering support to manufacturing lines.
  • Process improvements support and CAPA resolutions.
  • Conduct time and motion studies for processing line balancing.
  • Material flow and standardization process support.
  • Daily follow-up with projects and interaction with customers.
  • Vendor engagement for project requirements.
  • Supporting to continuous improvement process.
  • Development and implementation of PFD, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Coordinate with Offshore Team members per content development on layouts and simulations.
  • Identify new tooling integration to increase OEE.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
  • Experience with AIAG and ISO 9001 Standards
  • Ability to support the development and execution of Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Can coordinate, prepare, and help execute DOEs per the Matrix output.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to work in teams
  • Plant Simulation Experience. FlexSim or other.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
  • AUTOCAD, CREO, or Pro-E proficiency.
