Job Summary
The Automation Team Lead will represent the company on assigned service projects, service contracts and perform as the customer trusted technical advisor. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers through successful execution of assigned projects. The Automation Service Supervisor will also be responsible for mentoring and providing technical assistance to other automation technicians.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Automation Team Lead understands the design and intent of mechanical equipment and systems (Chiller, Boiler, Custom AHU's, Primary/Secondary pumping, Variable flow Chilled water plants, Clean Room Applications, Demand Response, and Energy solutions).
• Direct supervision of executables within the automation service group
o Assists with front-line communication.
o Assists with the execution of standard operating procedures through the COINS systems.
o Assists with tech assignments and ensures the right tech is assigned to the right call
o Oversees any additional service call follow-ups and tech recommendations.
• pull through recommendations.
• Analyze systems and assist in the development of scope of work for controls implementation.
• Lead on all aspects of assigned projects. Including: Design, Graphics, Programming, Start-up, Commissioning, procurement and As-builts.
• Lead team meetings as needed
• Enforces required safety and vehicle documentation per company policies.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to field staff and customers.
• Partner with the design and graphical team and make recommendations to improve customer deliverables and process efficiencies.
• Lead customer training on assigned projects.
• Lead technical and programming efforts on small/large enterprise multi-site accounts.
• Maintain relationships with customers on assigned accounts.
• Ensure successful warranty turnover on assigned projects.
• Partner with customers as trusted technical advisor
Qualifications
• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in HVAC DDC control, application, engineering, or service preferred.
• Background with a construction industry financial system preferred.
• Project management skills or training ideal.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficient in MS Office/Office 365/Smart Sheet
