Job description

Senior Graphic Designer

Surya Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to support the creative execution of three distinct brands: Surya, Global Views, and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. This role is responsible for developing compelling visual communications across digital, print, showroom, event, and marketing channels while ensuring each brand maintains a clear and consistent identity.

The ideal candidate possesses a sophisticated design aesthetic rooted in clean, modern design principles and a strong foundation in typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand systems. They combine exceptional creative judgment with technical expertise, bringing concepts to life with precision and attention to detail. This individual will play a key role in elevating the visual expression of our brands while mentoring junior designers and helping uphold creative standards across the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing objectives and brand strategies into compelling visual communications that support business goals.
  • Concept, design, and produce creative assets across a wide range of channels, including email marketing campaigns, website content and landing pages, social media and digital advertising, catalogs, brochures, and sales collateral, showroom and trade show graphics, presentation materials, and packaging and brand collateral
  • Manage creative project timelines, production schedules, and design workflows to ensure deadlines are met, resources are effectively allocated, and deliverables are executed with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, ecommerce, photography, visual merchandising, and sales teams to bring campaigns and initiatives to life.
  • Mentor junior designers through creative guidance, constructive feedback, and best-practice design principles.
  • Review and refine creative work to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of brand guidelines, creative systems, and design processes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare production-ready files for print and digital applications, ensuring technical excellence throughout the design process.
  • Stay informed on emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices within luxury branding, interiors, fashion, and retail, and digital marketing.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Experience working with luxury, premium, or design-driven brands within the home furnishings, interiors, fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across digital and print design, including brand storytelling, campaign development, typography, and visual systems.
  • Expert understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, composition, color theory, visual hierarchy, and grid systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, including expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and collaborative design workflows.
  • Strong technical production skills and experience preparing files for both digital and print applications.
  • Experience designing for email marketing, web, social media, print production, and large-format environmental graphics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to design excellence.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and providing thoughtful creative feedback.
