The Role You’ll Play

The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to lead the production facility employees and operations of the following equipment: BHS Corrugator. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, communication is properly flowing through machine centers, efficiency opportunities are identified and executed, scheduled operational demands are met, and any critical issues are both relayed and troubleshooted.

What You’ll Do

  • Safety - Leads, promotes, and practices safety awareness and proper use equipment all employees associated with the assigned corrugator. Ensures employees wear protective equipment and training is completed prior to job assignments. Actively identifies, reports, and eliminates hazards. 
  • People – Directs employment decision of shifts, including hiring, re-assignment, promotion, discipline, and termination of employees.
  • Culture – Creates and sustains a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and business excellence. Resolves and prevents disputes that arise among employees on the production floor.
  • Communication - Ensures product specifications and production goals are clearly communicated and the team is prepared to carry out safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
  • Quality - Executes quality inspections, identify nonconformance issues and works closely with cross functional teams to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Training – Leads training programs across assigned corrugated stations, including equipment, and operating standards.

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is an Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 annually. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations with a large employee base, in a fast-paced, high volume custom fabrication or relevant industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Lean mentality, a focus on quality, and a proven track record of identifying and contributing to the implementation of continuous safety, quality, and process improvements. Experience with Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and develop cohesive, high-performing production teams, aided by strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude in diagnosing and taking corrective action to drive machine efficiency and production processes.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with an ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams and management across multiple departments.
  • Ability to drive operational performance through data driven decision making and KPI’s.
  • Ability and flexibility to think, react, and adapt quickly to changing demands, challenges, and requirements
  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience in corrugated machine operation and people leadership skills will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of industry and corrugated equipment typically acquired through 5+ years of hands-on machine processing experience with the ability to lead people, quickly learn new systems, processes, and concepts easily
