Job description

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution and fulfillment of sponsor-related advertising and team marketing campaigns for the Carolina Hurricanes, overseeing the implementation of media planning, coordinating, trafficking and reporting for TV, radio and digital advertisements.
Responsibilities:
  • Construct advertising content by coordinating with internal departments, agencies and media properties and obtain individual production needs required including ads, graphics, commercials, live reads, etc.
  • Create/schedule all traffic logs for game broadcasts on TV and radio, tracking and reporting on all advertisements to ensure assets are executed on-time, effectively and in accordance with contracts.
  • Lead the Corporate Partnerships department with strategy, trafficking and reporting for game telecasts, live reads, graphic features, email, in-game radio and social media content, as well as all paid advertising media.
  • Maintain regular communication and service with agencies and internal departments to obtain updated creative, share proof of performance and analysis, generate invoices and provide billing information, etc.
  • Secure all necessary team and league approvals of related sponsor materials.
  • Assist with management and trafficking of ads on team website and reporting on ad performance.
  • Serve as point of contact for media reporting agencies and social analytics.
  • Gather documentation needed for proof of performance for contractual agreements.
  • Participate in special projects, presentations, conference calls and perform other related duties as requested and assigned.

Qualifications:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum two years of similar experience with a major league professional sports team, league, college, or media entity
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments/organizations
  • Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, when necessary
  • Must pass criminal background check
