The Brand & Marketing Manager will manage the delivery of effective marketing and media relations initiatives to promote the Hotel Arts Brand.

The Marketing Manager will direct the execution of the Strategic Marketing Plan which supports the delivery of revenue targets across Hotel Arts, Hotel Arts Kensington, Yellow Door Bistro, Freestyle Social Club & Poolside, Catering by Hotel Arts (Banquets), Oxbow, and Curated Catering (SAIT) collectively known as Hotel Arts Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

The Brand & Marketing Manager will manage the delivery of effective marketing and media relations initiatives to promote the Hotel Arts Brand.

The Marketing Manager will direct the execution of the Strategic Marketing Plan which supports the delivery of revenue targets across Hotel Arts, Hotel Arts Kensington, Yellow Door Bistro, Freestyle Social Club & Poolside, Catering by Hotel Arts (Banquets), Oxbow, and Curated Catering (SAIT) collectively known as Hotel Arts Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and evolves the Hotel Arts Group Strategic Marketing Plan as the foundation of all activity in which the Marketing department engages.
  • By utilizing in-house talent as well as external agencies and creators, oversees and directs the creation of content and materials including, but not limited to, websites, online advertising, photoshoots, videoshoots, menu and event palette (online and printed), tent cards, billboards, internal signage, email signatures, social media posts, sandwich boards, guestroom TV channel, info sheets, custom card sleeves, amenities, brochures, in-room marketing, email marketing, newsletters, posters, blogs, internal speeches, phone messaging, internal communications, magazine articles, press releases and statements, and styling material for other departments.
  • Collaborates with vendors to develop a website plan and strategy including analytics, site architecture, content management, user experience and growth strategies.
  • Maintains and manages a cohesive Marketing team and focuses the efforts of direct reports to accomplish all duties and responsibilities.
  • Manages and updates department expenses and budgets for assigned projects and provides accurate monthly reconciliation for projects.
  • Directs Purchase Order requests and timely invoicing for projects for month-end reporting.
  • Monitors all initiatives with a defined ROI and minimum success targets.
  • Communicates marketing initiatives clearly and in a timely manner to ensure all departments are aware and can speak to guest questions via phone/email/social media.
  • Engages individual departments in the ongoing development of the Strategic Marketing Plan to ensure buy-in on all levels.
  • Is the brand champion for Hotel Arts, upholding the group’s visual identity, by use of the Brand Guidelines and Graphic Standards, and proposes amendments if and when required.
  • Communicates the brand, its pillars and key messaging to external and internal audiences.
  • Promotes the concept of marketing to Artisans and identifies opportunities in every guest interaction.
  • Supports, develops, and distributes story ideas and press releases to targeted media.
  • Coordinates media and special event appearances with members of the Hotel Arts Team.
  • Coordinates logistics and hosts media familiarisation tours.
  • Maintains and evolves social media guidance to the departments by sharing tools, insights and identifying areas for improvement.

Position Knowledge

  • Full understanding of media relations strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of brand, web, social media and email marketing with demonstrated success in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Effectively produce marketing materials using a variety of methods aimed at various audiences with strong measurable calls-to-action.
  • Produces high-quality results that contribute to the achievement of marketing goals and outcomes
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the scope of duties and responsibilities by completing all with precision and in a timely fashion.
  • Uses experience and knowledge diligently in fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Manages responsibilities to ensure all tasks are completed according to guest and internal priorities.
