Job description

What We’re Searching for:

Hood Container is seeking a data driven and change minded Inventory Coordinator for our Walker, MI plant. They will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting optimal warehouse operations. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage all inventory transactions, trouble shoot errors and identify root causes and supply and implement possible solutions to Management team.
  • Review all inventory including raw goods, identify errors, and direct /follow up on corrections needed.
  • Support improvements in accuracy and efficiency in all plant-wide inventory processes.
  • Accurately generate required month-end reporting.
  • Manage and direct physical inventories as needed.
  • Ensure all inventory is reported to customers as requested.
  • Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with scheduler and process disposals.
  • Support Management with all audits.

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, computer literate, and data driven.
  • Background in quality and inventory roles.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Work overtime and odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements
  • Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and inventory systems for compliance standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hi-lo certification.
