Job description

Job Title: Graphics Engineer

Reports to: Engineering Supervisor

Job Status: Exempt

Job Purpose: Design and create Building Automation System(BAS) Graphical User Interfaces(GUI) by:

  • Using various graphic editing software and BAS system frontend software.
  • Creating equipment system graphic representations from equipment schematics.
  • Populating graphical displays in a logical and organized manner from programming points lists.
  • Creating building and floorplan images from mechanical plans.
  • Collaborating with engineering design team.

Entry Level Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Graphics Design, Computer Aided Drafting, or Mechanical Engineering Technology. GPA to be requested.
  • Photo editing software experience such as Paintshop Pro or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Positive influence and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Detail oriented.

Advanced Qualifications:

  • Graphic editing software experience such as Adobe Illustrator or equivalent.
  • Experience interpretting mechanical construction plans / viewing CAD files.
  • Building automation system software experience such as Tridium, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Siemens, Metasys, Schneider, DGLux, Ignition, etc.
  • 3D modeling software experience such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4d, Blender or equivalent
