Our client is a premier importer and designer of women's apparel. They are currently looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Graphic Designer to join their design team. Reporting to the Design Director, the ideal candidate will contribute to the development of private label print collections and collaborate closely with design and production teams to ensure high-quality, on-trend textile designs.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of our clients private label print collection under the mentorship of the Design Director.
  • Create original textile prints, recolor existing artwork, and develop print repeats
  • Prepare, review, and comment on print strike-offs.
  • Develop presentation boards in collaboration with the design team for internal meetings.
  • Work cross-functionally with design and production teams to ensure prints meet technical and production standards.
  • Communicate daily with overseas suppliers on all print-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion or graphic design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in ladies' fashion, with a strong understanding of fabrics and garment construction
  • College diploma in Graphic Design and/or a background in Fine Arts
  • Ability to create Illustrator flat sketches is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and follow through with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Bilingual in French and English (strong English required for communication with suppliers outside Quebec)
