Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Design Student Worker to join our creative team. This role is designed for a current student on the Dahlonega Campus looking for hands on experience. You will work closely with our Creative Director and the Creative Production team to support brand consistency across digital and print platforms, helping to turn conceptual ideas into high-impact visuals.
Responsibilities
  • Asset Creation: Assist in the design of flyers, logos, social media graphics, email headers, and promotional print materials.
  • Production Support: Perform image retouching, cropping, and basic layout adjustments for existing templates.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all designs adhere to established brand guidelines, colors, and typography.
  • Collaboration: Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh perspectives to campaign concepts.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain the digital asset library, ensuring files are named correctly and easy to retrieve.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Design Software: Fundamental proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Familiarity with motion graphics is a plus.
  • Visual Literacy: A strong eye for layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Communication: Ability to accept constructive feedback and iterate on designs quickly.
  • Technical Detail: Understanding of the differences between spot colors, web (RGB) and print (CMYK) specifications.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working in a graphic design environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred majors: Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication, or a related field.
