What is a grants assistant?

Grants Assistants are professionals who support the grant application and management process for organizations, such as nonprofits, universities, or research institutions. Their responsibilities often include researching grant opportunities, preparing or reviewing application materials, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. They work closely with grant writers, program managers, and finance teams to track deadlines and monitor grant-funded projects. Successful Grants Assistants often develop strong project management skills and use digital tools to track tasks and documentation.
