Job description

Make a Difference Every Day at The Granite YMCA!
Join our mission-driven team dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As an Enrichment Instructor, you'll create a positive, supportive environment where participants can grow, learn, and thrive through recreational, educational, and creative programs.
We're looking for enthusiastic and dependable team members who love working with youth and families, bring strong communication skills, and are committed to providing high-quality experiences for every participant.
What You'll Do
As an Enrichment Instructor, you will:
  • Lead engaging programs in designated areas such as arts, sports, recreation, or specialty enrichment
  • Model YMCA core values and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for all participants
  • Coach and supervise participants in skill-building, teamwork, and positive behavior management
  • Ensure safety and risk management, enforcing rules and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of assigned spaces
  • Assist with community activities, such as family events, birthday parties, or rentals, as assigned

Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of relevant program area(s) and instruction techniques
  • Experience working with youth or adults in a recreational, educational, or enrichment setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to serve as a role model and coach, fostering confidence and growth in participants
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Position Specifics:

  • Hours available within weekdays and weekends including early morning, daytime and afternoon/evening shifts
