Job description

The Granite YMCA is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance and Custodial Technician to help ensure our facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational for our members, staff, and community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and values contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Open shifts are Monday - Friday 5:00a - 10:00a
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the building and grounds in a safe, clean, and functional condition through routine maintenance and repair
  • Perform light technical work based on skillset
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks across locker rooms, restrooms, offices, studios, classrooms, and common areas
  • Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness, including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking supplies
  • Support grounds maintenance such as mowing, snow removal, equipment movement, and outdoor setup for events
  • Assist with general building safety and security monitoring
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day facility needs and minor repairs
  • Maintain awareness of branch programs and events to proactively support facility needs

Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of building maintenance and repair (multi-trade experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift, move equipment, and perform manual tasks
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
