Job description

Atlantic Tile & Granite is seeking an experienced countertop installer to join our installation team. This position is intended for someone who already has professional experience installing quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, and other stone countertops.

We are looking for a dependable installer who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with a crew, and can professionally handle job-site conditions and installation challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, unload, and safely handle countertop pieces.
  • Install quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, and other stone countertops.
  • Complete seams, backsplashes, undermount sink installations, and final finishing.
  • Level, shim, secure, and properly fit countertop pieces.
  • Perform minor field cutting, polishing, adjustments, and repairs when necessary.
  • Identify cabinet, wall, appliance, plumbing, and other job-site issues before proceeding.
  • Review work orders, drawings, measurements, and installation notes.
  • Communicate job-site issues clearly with the office, contractors, and customers.
  • Protect the customer’s property and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect completed installations for fit, finish, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete required installation paperwork and document job-site conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • At least two years of professional stone countertop installation experience.
  • Experience installing quartz, granite, marble, quartzite, or similar slab materials.
  • Ability to complete seams, backsplashes, undermount sinks, and standard field adjustments.
  • Experience using grinders, polishers, seam setters, adhesives, epoxies, and standard installation tools.
  • Ability to read measurements, drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding installation work and handle heavy countertop pieces with a team and appropriate equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of an installation crew.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
