Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full-time Countertop Fabricator for daytime Monday – Friday, 7a – 330p, Saturday as needed.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Preferred - Candidate with previous experience in countertop fabrications and/or wood working skills.
Required: Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary
Provides customer service through in-house fabrication of countertop surfaces by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Build amp; install countertop surfaces with the guidance of the design center to aid the customer in choices. Follows strict guidelines of proper installation by material manufacturer exceeding industry standards for countertop installation.
  • Keeps equipment in proper working order with a maintenance and replacement program.
  • Aids with the installation of countertop products when needed.
  • Schedules sharpening and replacement of bits and blades when needed.
  • Maintains a professional image through proper dress and professional verbal communication with customers, drivers, and other staff. Maintains clean and safe work area, machines and equipment.
  • Reviews invoice ticket information of all customers and contractors ensure selection of proper materials.
  • Builds to best of ability, attempting to reduce shrink when possible.
  • Assists customers in loading purchased materials into customer’s vehicle.
  • Directs customers to additional pickup stations as necessary to complete order.
  • Prepares delivery orders and stages orders for loading onto delivery vehicles.
  • Maintains weekly tally sheets of broken or damaged products and puts damaged products in the prescribed areas. Notifies supervisor of potential product damage, shortages and outages. Participates in inventory counting as necessary.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment problems amp; service needs. Keeps assigned machines clean amp; in good working order.
  • Performs shop maintenance through unloading deliveries, prepping materials, and putting products in assigned areas as well as maintenance of shop for cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Works with design center on turn around time and material yield.
  • Understands amp; executes priority of duties. All other tasks are subordinate to these priorities unless otherwise directed.
  • Participates in all required training assignments.
  • Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.
Supports the goals and objectives of Ed Herrington, Inc. through adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements for successful completion of all assignments.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Frequently needs to lift and/or move items that weigh up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
