Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Granite Countertop Installer Lead to oversee and execute the installation of granite countertops on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and hands-on experience with various tools and techniques. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high-quality workmanship, and contribute to the successful completion of projects in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties

  • Lead and coordinate installation teams to ensure efficient and accurate granite countertop installations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to plan installation procedures
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized fabrication machinery safely and effectively
  • Measure, cut, shape, and fit granite slabs with precision, ensuring seamless integration with existing structures
  • Manage on-site activities including material handling, site preparation, and ensuring adherence to safety standards
  • Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring all installations meet design specifications and client expectations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to facilitate smooth workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all phases of installation
  • Assist in training junior team members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and tool usage

Skills

  • Proven experience in granite countertop installation or related construction fields such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication machinery
  • Familiarity with construction management principles including estimating, inspection, and site supervision
