Job description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fabricator/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves a combination of fabrication work and plant maintenance, requiring expertise in welding, machinery operation, and general maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and participating in plant improvement projects, reliability initiatives, and other key plant-level initiatives.
  • Collaborating with team members, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Performing fabrication tasks, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Wire Wheel welding.
  • Operating heavy machinery.
  • Performing a variety of maintenance-related functions, including but not limited to piping, mechanical repairs, and maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Keeping records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Continuously developing knowledge of industry trends and advancements in metal fabrication techniques.
  • Maintaining a flexible work schedule to accommodate scheduled off-shift production needs and call-ins when necessary.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of previous machinist work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or in a similar role in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
  • Specialized certifications in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Wire Wheel welding.
  • Proficient in operating heavy machinery.
