Job description

We are looking for an experienced individual to manager our warehouse and inventory system. We are a growing company looking to expanding our operations and hire an experienced, ethical, and hardworking individual. Experience with heavy material handling is required. Experience in the stone industry and/ or CNC operating experience is preferred. The right candidate will be open to learning new skills and flexible with daily tasks and requirements. Professionalism and strong communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:
  • Move dimensional stone slabs and remnants as required for production.
  • Receive daily deliveries of new slabs.
  • Photograph and enter all material into our digital inventory system.
  • Update our database as material is cut and/or expended.
  • Pick up and deliver slabs and remnants occasionally as required.
  • Inform the Purchasing Manager when certain materials are getting low so they know what needs to be ordered.
  • Assist with inventory management and receiving of sinks, tools, and other shop supplies.
  • Communicate constantly with the Shop Manager, Operations Manager, and Sales Representatives regarding inventory related questions and tasks.
  • Multi-task and prioritize required tasks to optimize production.
  • Occasionally assist the shop with fabrication related tasks.
  • Help maintain a safe and clean warehouse.

Requirements:
  • 2 years experience working in a warehouse with heavy material handling.
  • A very safety conscious attitude and mindset.
  • Ability to safely operate an overhead crane and forklift.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills with an ability to learn and master inventory management software.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and work authorization.
  • Be willing and eager to learn new skills and adapt.

Preferred:
  • OSHA certifications related to crane or forklift operations, warehouse management, or material handling.
  • Experience in the stone industry.
  • Experience in a stone fabrication shop such as polishing or operating a bridge saw or CNC.
  • CNC operating experience is what gets you to the upper end of the range of pay.ย  This is primarily used when covering for main CNC operatorโ€™s vacation and does not involve programming.
