Job description

SALARY RANGE: $20.00 - $23.00 

Sunrise FS is headquartered in Virginia, Illinois, with branches in Cass, Champaign, Clark, Douglas, Edgar, Mason and Vermillion counties. Sunrise FS has about 200 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 14,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, grain, tires, irrigation, and retail. Sunrise FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

Run chemical bay effectively and efficiently to keep product to the operators and keep equipment in chemical bay running properly.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

Blends chemicals according to recommended rates and procedures  

Performs inventory control  

Seasonally assists the Location Manager in all seed treatment operations including warehousing, inventory, and logistics  

Records and tracks application loads sent out to operators  

Prepares material handling, blending and storage equipment for blending and delivery of product  

Repairs and rebuilds equipment as needed  

Edits blend tickets  

Maintains good housekeeping in work area and warehouse  

Works in other departments during off peak season  

REQUIREMENTS 

Has the ability to obtain, a CDL and commercial applicator’s license  

Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.  

Must be able to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands  

Demonstrate basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, uses whole number, common fractions and decimals along with the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent  

Must be able to obtain and maintain required Illinois Department of Agriculture Pesticide Licenses  

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITES 

Proven professional communication and customer service skills  

Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment  

Basic computer skills as they relate to the custom application business
