City : Morristown State : Indiana (US-IN) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number: 46084 A Day in the LifeThis position is responsible for conducting commercial and trading activities associated with grain origination and marketing for a grain elevator or soybean processing facility.What You?ll Be DoingCommunication with farmers and elevator customers to originate grain and provide customer serviceService farmer customers in areas of market information, e-business, bids, hours, grade reporting and accounting issues in a proactive manner that exceeds expectations and builds strong relationshipsCommunication with feed mills, livestock producers, brokers, and other buyers in marketing soybeans meal and soyhull pelletsBuild relationships with new and existing customers to grow origination and sales for the facilityCoordinate and assist in managing all logistics around inbound and outbound product flowsCreate and communicate load order numbers for product loading to customersCommunicate plant issues affecting receiving or product loading to customers and internal groupsFacilitate and assist in the communication and exchange of business information and market conditions between local and corporate management in a timely and accurate mannerEvaluate and report changing crops and market conditions to appropriate company personnel in a timely and accurate mannerOrganize farmer meetingsWork with hedging, spreads, and crush projections making sure daily position is accurateEnsure accurate hedging to maintain plant margins and minimize risksAssist in weekly margin projectionsCheck local competition and elevator bid structure ensuring Bunge is competitiveEnsure compliance of contractsReview accounts receivable issues and assist in collecting as neededUpdate bid sheet daily and distribute internally and externallyHelp train and educate new merchants as neededManage grain positionsAssist in the maintenance of U.S. production and supply and demand analysis for corn, beans, wheat, rice and miloHave an depth understanding of product flows and freight spreads in market region to execute on highest margin decisionBe a leader in new and existing Bunge programs and initiativesAttend all safety meetingsPerform other duties as assignedDemonstrate the following culture and values which are expected of all employees at BungeAct As One Team: By fostering inclusion, collaboration and respectDrive For Excellence: By being agile, innovative and efficientDo What?s Right: By acting safely, ethically and sustainablySkills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in Business, Agriculture Economics or relevant discipline6-10 years of experience in commodity merchandising.Strong interest in agribusiness, specifically soybean processing / refining operationsIn depth knowledge of cash commodity trading and CBOTStrong sales knowledge and negotiations skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to learn, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced changing environmentKnowledge and understanding of accounting principles, market values, pricing and margin factorsStrong organizational and execution skillsProficient in Microsoft Word & ExcelBunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.At Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
