Job description

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, they implement a plan for providing safe and appropriate quality nursing care to patients on their assigned unit. Participate in the preparation of nursing care plans by contributing data. Report significant patient-related events to the supervising registered nurse in a timely manner. Administer medications in accordance with regulations and nursing home policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Requires a graduate from an approved school of nursing and must have current license to practice in NYS (LPN License). American Heart Association Basic Life Support required. Previous patient care experience preferred.

Typical Working Conditions: 

Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.

Typical Physical Demands: 

Requires a full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.  Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  Occasionally, lifts, carries and pushes items weighing up to 50 pounds.  Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. 

Salary: $25.94-$32.39 hour plus shift differentials:

3-11pm $5.10

11p-7a $6.30

Weekends $1.20
