Job description

As a 2027 University Undergraduate Intern - Human Resources, you will gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects that help build your technical and professional skills at Phillips 66. Human Resources is a team of trusted partners providing insightful solutions to the businesses we serve. HR internship opportunities exist primarily in Houston, Texas and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. However opportunities at other Phillips 66 field locations may be possible. 

What You'll Do
  • Work on strategic projects that enhance our Talent Management practices and make recommendations that are woven into the fabric of the organization
  • Personal interaction with office and field employees, Phillips 66 HR leadership and other interns
  • Diversified training through on-the-job assignments to assist in the development of a great place to work where employees can reach their full potential
  • Internship opportunities exist in: Total Rewards (Benefits and Compensation), HR Business Partners, HR Operations, People Strategy, Learning & Development and Talent Management 
What You'll Bring - Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Management, Data Science, Industrial Organization or equivalent
  • Greater than 30 hours of earned college credit
  • On track to graduate between Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028
  • Available for a minimum of eleven continuous weeks
What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous work experience in Human Resources and/or related industry
  • Willing to work in any of our operating locations

Summer internship activities may include the following: 

  • Orientation and training events, field trips, social activities, weekly seminars, and opportunities to meet and interact with functional leaders.
  • Participating in continuous coaching conversations with your manager, who will provide direction throughout your internship.
  • Provided with an assigned mentor for further guidance and to help you with the technical challenges of your role and give assistance in navigating through the day-to-day questions regarding working in the corporate world.
  • Giving a presentation at the end of the summer to senior business leaders and key stakeholders. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate what you learned in your internship and provide insight into your experience.

This position has a pay range of $1,798.00 - $2,689.00 bi-weekly, dependent on a candidate's degree type and expected graduation date.
