Job description

Overview
Electric Boat's Nuclear Test Engineering Department (D275) has openings for highly motivated engineers.
The Test Procedure Writer position responsibilities include preparation of nuclear test procedures supporting construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut.
In this role you will conduct research of technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to obtain required information and to ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow and workability, and adherence to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines.
Additionally, this position coordinates procedure reviews, the resolution of procedure comments and the approval of procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • 5+ years post graduate engineering experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred:
  • Technical/ Procedure Writing experience
  • Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Framemaker
  • Current DOD Secret Clearance
