Social Media & Office Assistant
Position Description
BSU's Department of Health and Kinesiology offers undergraduate public health and health studies degrees, health science degrees, exercise physiology degree and physical education degrees that prepare you for careers in education, health, healthcare, sport and recreation. Our graduate-level physical education and health promotion degrees prepare you for advanced and specialized careers.
The Health and Kinesiology department is looking for Social Media and Office Support assistance in the following areas:
Social Media
  • Promote students' success and engagement through the use of social media including Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and YouTube.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned to include communication of display boards in department, such as hallway TV display and bulletin boards
  • Develop monthly student "spotlight" and "faculty spotlight"

Marketing and Communication
  • Maintain and update Department intranet and extranet websites
  • Maintain Department Blackboard website and catalog
  • Promote faculty work and achievements including service learning, honors program and undergraduate research
  • Assist in recruiting both undergraduate and graduate students
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Resource Coordinator
  • Manage Department space, equipment, materials and office supplies
  • Assist in order and purchase of equipment and supplies
  • Assist in budget and inventory management
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Eligibility requirements:
  • Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Positive, proactive and professional.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social medial, technology, and sharing and capturing media.
  • Must be willing to take on new tasks as they arrive.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills a plus.
