Job description

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Graduate Assistant for Advanced Media and Videography will be responsible for all aspects of production, editing, and distribution of video mediums for the DBU Department of Athletics in accordance with DBU Athletic Department, NCAA, and conference regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge and experience with editing programs (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, etc)
  • Experience in producing and editing motion graphics is preferred.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work alongside multiple arms of the DBU Department of Athletics to develop, film, produce, and distribute new media across multiple platforms and outlets.
  • Video projects include filming and editing game highlights for all 14 NCAA programs, producing behind-the-scenes and documentary footage, and creating content for social media.
  • Develop intro videos, individual player videos, and game highlights to be showcased on the video boards at multiple venues.
  • Collaborate with other members of communications, digital and visual staffs as well as other departments of Patriot Athletics to support them in achieving their goals.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with DBU's vision, mission, and values, and in a way that contributes to the advancement of the Athletics Department.

WORK SCHEDULE:
A minimum of 30 hours per week or more is necessary to meet the requirements of the program. Travel is required throughout the year for games.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
