What is a Graduate Electrical Engineer?

A Graduate Electrical Engineer is an entry-level professional who has recently completed a degree in electrical engineering and is starting their career in the field. They typically work under the supervision of more experienced engineers and assist with designing, developing, and testing electrical systems or equipment. Their responsibilities may include drafting plans, performing calculations, conducting research, and supporting project implementation. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and serves as a stepping stone toward becoming a fully qualified electrical engineer.

What types of projects do Graduate Electrical Engineers typically work on during their first year, and how much responsibility can they expect?

In their first year, Graduate Electrical Engineers often work on a variety of foundational projects, such as designing circuit layouts, assisting with testing and commissioning of electrical systems, and supporting senior engineers with documentation and calculations.
