Job description

Graduate Assistant: Lacrosse
Position Overview: The graduate assistant coach will be involved with the day-to-day administration of a Division II Lacrosse program and must attend all sport-related activities as required. The graduate assistant coach must be enrolled in an approved graduate program at Concordia University, St. Paul, and make satisfactory progress toward that degree. The graduate assistant coach will support the mission and values of CSP and serve as a mentor and role model to student-athletes.
Essential Duties:
  • Program administration: Attending and participating in staff meetings (compliance, practice planning, academic, strength amp; conditioning, individuals), assisting with travel arrangements for competition, managing players’ equipment needs; other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Technical instruction: Attend all practices and games, film drills and individual sessions when necessary, maintain statistics when needed, and prepare and edit game film and scouting reports.
  • Fundraising: organize and participate in fundraising activities as assigned.
  • Recruiting: Managing the recruiting database, correspondence with prospective student-athletes, meeting with recruits and families when needed, evaluating the talent of prospective student-athletes, and managing social media presence.
  • Abide by NCAA, NSIC, GLIAC, and CSP rules and regulations and pass the NCAA recruiting exam annually.
  • Other sport-specific duties as assigned.
Education amp; Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be accepted and enrolled in a CSP Graduate Program
Compensation:
  • $6,000 per year for 2 years
  • Full tuition waiver upon successful admission into CSP graduate school
