Assistant Girls Swimming Coach


Job Summary:
The role of the assistant girls swimming coach will be to support the head coach in all aspects of the girls swimming program.  The position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes within the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Maintains a working knowledge of all district and MHSAA rules governing extracurricular athletics
- Must be able to attend all practices and events during the season    
- Previous coaching experience preferred, along with knowledge of the sport of swimming
- Excellent oral and written communication preferred
- Supports teaching staff in a way that promotes Garden City Schools
- Demonstrates the ability to work with students, parents, community members, fellow coaches and game officials on a positive and professional basis
Minimum Qualifications
- CPR / First AId / Lifeguarding certification
- Previous experience as a high school or collegiate swimmer or coach
-Time schedule must align with pool availability
