Job Duties

Virginia Military Institute Athletics, an NCAA Division I member and member of the North East Conference is seeking an Assistant Lacrosse Coach.
The successful candidate will:
Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Lacrosse Program.
Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
Coordinate team travel arrangements.
Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement
Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development
Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as Lacrosse coaching experience.
Must posses a valid drivers license
Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes
Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators

Additional Considerations

Some (generally two (2)+ years) of College Lacrosse coaching experience
