Position Summary

The Quick Service Associate is responsible for delivering efficient, friendly, and consistent service in a fast-paced quick-service environment. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism and positivity during peak volume periods.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in a fast-casual, juice bar or coffee shop setting and demonstrates comfort operating POS systems, preparing beverages, and engaging with guests. Quick Service Associates play a key role in representing the brand through speed, accuracy, and warm guest interactions.

Essential Functions

Guest Service & Order Execution

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming and efficient service experience.
  • Take guest orders accurately, promoting menu items and daily features when appropriate.
  • Prepare and present coffee, espresso beverages, and other drinks according to established recipes and portion standards.
  • Deliver food and beverage items promptly while maintaining quality and presentation.
  • Respond to guest questions, feedback, or concerns in a positive, tactful, and solution-oriented manner.
  • This position may include light culinary preparation for certain menu items.

POS, Cash Handling & Accountability

  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and create checks for each guest.
  • Handle credit, and digital transactions efficiently and verify charges.

Station Setup, Stocking & Organization

  • Maintain proper and adequate setup of the coffee or service station throughout the shift.
  • Stock, rotate, and replenish food, beverage, and supply items as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment, ingredients, and service items are clean, organized, and ready for service.

Cleanliness, Safety & Operational Standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using approved cleaning products to meet health and safety standards.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and handling guidelines consistently.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Internal Relationships

  • Reports to Restaurant General Manager.

External Relationships

  • Has frequent interaction with guests.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and quick-service operations.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Ability to remember, describe, and promote menu items.
  • Ability to operate POS systems and keyboards efficiently.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a coffee shop, fast-casual, or high-volume guest service environment preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain any required licenses or certifications as applicable.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
