Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;
  • Utilize GPS systems and traditional means to set grade and conduct construction layout on highways, parking lots and civil sitework projects.
  • Must be willing to do manual labor
  • Read, understand and verify survey stakes to determine grade specifications
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications;
  • Requires bending, kneeling, climbing, walking and twisting
  • Aptitude for math and problem solving
  • 2 years working in civil construction including earthwork, paving and concrete preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and verify construction plans a bonus
  • Troubleshoot situations and solve problems. (material quality/quantity, GPS equipment operation/repair, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn equipment operation and other aspects of construction
