Job description

About Our Company:
ShipIt is a fast-growing third-party logistics provider dedicated to helping e-commerce businesses succeed through superior supply chain management. We offer services such as warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution that save our clients money, time, and heartache. While we move millions of orders a year, we never treat our team members like a number. We know our success depends entirely on the people who show up every day ready to do great work, which is why we're just as committed to your personal and professional growth as we are to our own.
Position Overview:
The warehouse associate keeps our shipping and production operations running smoothly by managing the flow of inventory and ensuring materials are organized, stocked, and ready when needed. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll unload deliveries, stage inventory, maintain accurate inventory counts, and keep shipping supplies organized using First In, First Out (FIFO) practices. Success in this role means maintaining an organized warehouse, preventing production downtime, and helping the team operate efficiently every day.
What You'll Do:

  • Unload arriving trucks, collect manifests, and safely transport product pallets into storage.
  • Stage and replenish pre-pack pallets and gaylords in the labeling area to ensure zero downtime for production teams.
  • Conduct daily inventory counts of pallets, boxes, labels, and other critical shipping supplies.
  • Update the inventory tracking system and report stock levels to the inventory manager to help maintain a 90-day supply.
  • Organize and reset the warehouse daily using First In First Out (FIFO) practices.
  • Prepare shipping containers and gaylords for the following day's production run.
  • Fill out and file accurate daily Bills of Lading (BOL) for outgoing shipments.
  • Cross-train as a labeling specialist to support the team when operational needs shift.
Skills we're looking for:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to stand for at least eight hours per day and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable operating or learning to operate material handling equipment; you must be able to obtain a forklift and pallet jack certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep precise inventory records.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with drivers, team members, and managers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to workplace safety standards.
  • Dependable attendance and a track record of following through on daily tasks without constant supervision.
Why you'll love working with us:
  • 401(k) with a 6% employer match
  • 9 paid holidays with additional accrued paid time off
  • Maternity and paternity leave
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Health Share Program
  • Minimum Essential Coverage
  • Paid service days
  • Complimentary monthly supply of Balance of Nature supplements

Pay: $15 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Lexington, KY
Thank you for your interest in working with ShipIt! ShipIt is an equal opportunity employer.
