Job description

The AWS Infrastructure Finance team provides end-to-end financial support, driving AWS to be the lowest cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Energy Portfolio Finance team which falls under the AWS Energy and Sustainability Finance team. The AWS Energy team is responsible for (1) Delivering Energy to AWS Data Centers, (2) Procuring Renewable Energy to support our 100% Renewable Energy goal, and (3) Developing our Sustainability and Carbon Strategy.

This team provides critical support in the form of financial valuation, investment decisions, and driving the global portfolio strategy for Amazon's Energy and Renewable Energy portfolio.
We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to help define financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting, operational standards, and processes for our energy and renewable portfolio. Our portfolio of deals is expected to come online over the next two years and our team owns the controllership processes that scale with the portfolio's growth

This includes (1) monitoring projects, (2) compliance & contract management, (3) optimization of market operations in partnership with the business team, and (4) FP&A reporting and consolidation.
Key job responsibilities
-Drive the reporting for our global energy and water portfolio, including our carbon-free energy program
-Standardize Global and Regional Month End Close reporting and quarterly financial forecasting for the energy portfolio (inclusive of OpEx and CapEx)
-Recommend process efficiencies to Energy team business partners, developing a deep knowledge of our energy deals across the globe and their end-to-end data sources
-Develop automated web-based tooling and reporting to support Utilities OpEx and Energy & Water CapEx reporting
-Report on the financial performance of our Energy portfolio, including the Global Renewable Energy portfolio, and assist the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews
