Job description

The Amazon Energy Portfolio Operations (EPO) team manages supply contracts post execution, provides controllership and governance of energy spend, tracks environmental attributes and ensures our energy supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations, contract obligations as well as internal policies. You will be a part of the team responsible for managing the world's largest portfolio of corporate renewable contracts.
We are looking for an individual to execute our operational programs to monitor, report, analyze and improve performance of power settlements operations, globally. The right candidate has an analytical skill set, experience with power transactions and settlements in major regulated and non-regulated energy markets (US and abroad), and experience with reporting and BI tools


Key job responsibilities
- Support financial controllership reporting for operational projects by compiling and analyzing performance, analyzing impacts to our business units and our customers
- Manage power settlements for a set of agreements, including validation of power invoices, reconciliations, issue resolution and overall transaction controllership
- Support end-of-month closing process in collaboration with partner teams and internal customers
- Work with tech/product teams to upscale power settlements automation capabilities
- Support the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties
- Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio
- Work collaboratively with other Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs
