Polymer Logistics roles focus on managing the movement and storage of polymer products within supply chains, requiring logistics skills and certifications. Warehouse Associates handle day-to-day physical tasks in warehouses, with less emphasis on logistics planning. Both roles operate in warehouse environments but differ in scope and responsibilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Polymer Logistics specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Polymer Logistics Specialist, you need expertise in supply chain management, inventory control, and an understanding of polymer materials, often supported by a degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and relevant safety certifications is typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are vital soft skills for coordinating shipments and collaborating across departments. These competencies ensure efficient movement, storage, and delivery of polymer products, reducing costs and maintaining product quality throughout the supply chain.

What is Polymer Logistics?

Polymer Logistics is a company specializing in the design, manufacture, and supply of reusable packaging and retail-ready display solutions, primarily made from polymers (plastics). Their products are widely used in the supply chain for food, retail, and agricultural industries to improve efficiency, sustainability, and product protection during transportation and display. Polymer Logistics also provides pooling services, where businesses can rent and return packaging, further supporting sustainable practices. The company focuses on innovative solutions that help reduce waste and optimize logistics operations for their clients.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in Polymer Logistics, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Polymer Logistics often face challenges such as managing inventory accuracy, coordinating timely deliveries, and ensuring compliance with regulations for handling polymer materials. Balancing fluctuating supply and demand, as well as maintaining quality standards during storage and transit, can also be demanding. These challenges can be addressed by implementing robust inventory management systems, fostering clear communication with suppliers and transport partners, and staying updated on industry best practices and compliance requirements. Regular training and a collaborative team environment are also key to overcoming day-to-day obstacles in this dynamic field.

Downhole Chemical Solutions

Pleasanton, TX โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 15 hours ago

Job description

Description:

Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) is an employee-owned oil and gas chemical company delivering performance-driven solutions in hydraulic fracturing. Founded in 2015, we specialize in slickwater fluid systems and stimulation chemistries backed by data, engineering expertise, and hands-on field execution. With a growing footprint across major U.S. shale plays, DCS is built on a commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork. As an ESOP company, every employee plays a role in our success and shares in the results of the work we do.

Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) oilfield chemical services company and the technology leader in dry polymer friction reducer delivery for hydraulic fracturing. We operate across four active basins — Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and Marcellus — and we're growing fast.

We're looking for an HSE-Logistics Coordinator to support our Director of HSE in executing DCS's safety, environmental, and DOT compliance programs. This is a field-facing role for someone who is organized, detail-driven, and ready to be a boots-on-the-ground safety presence across a distributed workforce of CDL drivers, DriFlow operators, engineers, and field support personnel.

You'll assist with field safety audits, DOT driver compliance, incident documentation, training delivery, and logistics coordination — serving as a key link between field operations and DCS's HSE leadership.

Location: Flexible — Pleasanton, TX, or Midland, TX
Travel: 50%
Reports To: Director of HSE

Requirements:
  • 2–4 years of experience in HSE, DOT compliance, fleet safety, logistics, or a related field within oilfield services, completion services, or upstream oil & gas operations
  • Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations including Driver Qualification Files, Hours of Service, ELD requirements, and DOT drug & alcohol testing
  • Experience working on or around active frac pad or wellsite operations
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills; ability to maintain records across multiple locations and regulatory jurisdictions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams); experience with fleet telematics or ELD platforms a plus
  • Valid driver's license; ability and willingness to travel 60–70% across TX, LA, and PA

Preferred:

  • CSHO, OSHA 30-Hour, SafeLand USA, or equivalent safety credential; working toward ASP/CSP a plus
  • CDL experience or prior CDL holder preferred
  • Experience with ISNetworld, Veriforce, GeoTab, or Motive
  • Familiarity with dry polymer chemical handling, combustible dust protocols, or oilfield chemical services operations
  • Multi-basin or multi-state field experience

Important Notices:

  • The above statements reflect the general duties and skills that are expected of this position and should not be considered a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications of this role.
  • If selected for this role, your employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment drug and alcohol test, physical, and background check, as applicable to the position.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • This position has physical demands that are typical of the role and work environment. The physical requirements associated with this position are outlined in the job description and may be discussed during the hiring process. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to apply and perform the essential functions of the job.
