NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a healthcare services organization to identify a Government Payer Program Manager in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is fully remote for candidates located within approximately two hours of DFW and will oversee government payer programs, reimbursement initiatives, and strategic payer relationships across multiple stakeholders.
This position is ideal for a highly polished healthcare professional who understands government payer contracting, thrives in highly visible roles, and can effectively bridge operational, reimbursement, and executive leadership priorities.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Extensive experience managing government payer programs, contracts, and reimbursement initiatives
- Direct experience with Veterans Affairs, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare payer programs
- Strong understanding of payer-provider networks and revenue cycle operations, including reimbursement, billing, and collections
- Deep knowledge of CMS regulations, government pricing methodologies, and compliance requirements
Preferred:
- Experience developing, negotiating, and implementing government payer contracts
- Background working with managed care organizations and health insurance plan structures
- Healthcare provider experience within large, multi-site organizations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate reimbursement trends and operational impacts
- Exceptional executive-level communication and stakeholder management abilities
