POSITION: HSU Workstudy Leadership Studies
DEPARTMENT: Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts
SUPERVISOR TITLE: President Emeritus
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
EXEMPTION:
LOCATION: Abilene
TARGET HIRE DATE: 3/4/2024

SUMMARY/SCOPE: Provides support to the Director of the HSU Institutefor Leadership. Assisting with in following areas: clerical support, including copying,filing, scanning and other duties as assigned in order to serve the Institutefor Leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributesto the daily activities of the Advancement Department. Must understandconfidentiality and use extreme care to protect donor personalinformation. Should be proficient in using Microsoft Office, able tooperate copier and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit exceptional phone, email and face-to-face interaction with students, coworkers, and guests.
  • Assist with filing, both hard files and some online filing.
  • Assist with grading, attendance records and copying files.
  • Help keep office, storage, and file areas neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Help with special events, as needed.
  • Assist with both outgoing and incoming mail.
  • Provide clerical support.

Current HSU Student
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The job is sedentary in nature, so applicants must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Some minor lifting may be required (up to 20 pounds)

HSUstudent workers are provided with a professional working environment wherestudents can learn transferable job skills. Student workers are a valuable partof the team and are needed to work when scheduled and perform as the otherdepartmental staff.
Dress is business casual.
