ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, is seeking a Courier who will be responsible for making pickups and deliveries of shipments to and from facilities.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of new and existing businesses to effectively function in the field regarding proper delivery and pickups.
  • Provides excellent customer service to employees as well as external vendors and visitors.
  • Ability to proactively identify errors and omissions in deliveries/ pickups to eliminate redundancy in required stops.
  • Advises supervisor when repairs or extensive maintenance are required for the company vehicle.
  • Good communication must be maintained with other regional and corporate personnel to assure timely transportation of pickups and deliveries.
  • Performs and/or schedules preventative and regular minor maintenance on company delivery vehicle, (fuel, fluid levels, tires, etc.), and keeps accurate maintenance records.
  • Makes scheduled and non-scheduled pickups and deliveries.
  • Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed in the delivery of shipments.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • A required minimum of 1 year experience performing courier duties
  • Excellent oral (face-to-face and telephone etiquette) and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as
    with the public (outside clients, guests and vendors)
  • Able to prioritize work
  • CDL preferred
  • Ability to work overtime / weekends
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Internet, etc.)

Additional Requirements:
  • Overtime / on-call will be required to accommodate emergency situations and facilitate changing schedules.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
