Overview Security Assistant LOCATION: Huntsville, AL JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret TRAVEL: As Needed Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Security Assistant located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL . REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS * Must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance * High school degree with 4 years of relevant experience.

* Preferred knowledge of Army Regulations as well as AvMC/S3I guidelines. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) * Strong oral and written communication skills RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist government & contractor personnel as needed with Security needs onsite at Redstone Arsenal office. * Completes required training in order to perform duties as required by S3I and company.

* Process incoming Visits to S3I facility by utilizing DISS to verify personnel clearances & AICIS to record visits. * Process Devcom Badges by using the Central Badging System once information is verified in ACIS & DISS. * Submit to & Confirm receipt/processing by Visitor Center Personnel a Visitor Gate Pass for RSA Visitors as requested by S3I Civilian leads.

* Maintain the required Classified paperwork on each S3I Security Container/Secure Area Door, create & maintain the database for accountability of Security Containers, & communicate to Security POCs regarding Security guidelines for container & required paperwork. * Provide guidance to Security POCs regarding container moves and facilitate communication/coordination with Facilities team for execution of moves/transfers/destruction. * Maintain keys/locks/secure cores, the required paperwork and database to track these items for S3I Secure Areas.

* Assist Government personnel with obtaining a Government Courier Card by providing briefs & forms, obtaining required signatures on the form & card, and maintaining the Courier Card database for S3I. Report monthly to G2 Security POC regarding S3I Courier Card database. * Proper handling of classified materials by assigning control numbers for document control of incoming/outgoing packages, verifying the proper labeling of data matches paperwork (3964), securely wrapping outgoing packages, & proper storage of classified data that is awaiting receipt by appropriate personnel.

* Utilize the Lenel System to grant or terminate S3I personnel access to Secure labs/buildings once request is received in BARS (Building Access Request System). * Interfaces with AvMC/S3I internal and external customers to identify security requirements and provides solutions per Government Lead direction. * Perform general clerical duties in the office as needed or requested by government lead.

* Perform end of day procedures for Security Office and document on SF-701/702. #CJ
