ADVERTISING/WORKING TITLE: GOVERNMENT ANALYST II

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at THE Central Office in the Health Services Department.

The Government Analyst II position involves leading a team to manage and analyze health care data, oversee electronic medical records, and collaborate across departments to improve health care services and decision-making.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:

• Lead a team that manages and analyzes health care data to improve services and help make better clinical decisions.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, working with IT staff and vendors.
• Create and manage systems that collect and analyze various health data from inmate patients to understand costs and quality.
• Work with different departments to build a data warehouse and produce reports that support research and decision-making.
• Provide tools and reports to health service leaders to track program performance and improve health care delivery.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT

The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
