Job description

Business Technology Integrators (BTI), headquartered in suburban Washington, DC, is seeking a motivated and technically minded Government Contracting (GovCon) Technical Sales Lead to support federal business development, solution positioning, and pre-sales activities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional (0-5 years) who can translate technical capabilities into mission-focused solutions for federal agencies. You will work closely with engineering, product, and capture teams to qualify opportunities, engage customers, and support the full federal sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Support
  • Understand and articulate the technical capabilities of company products, services, and solutions to federal customers.
  • Participate in technical discussions, capability briefings, and solution demonstrations.
  • Translate agency mission needs into technical requirements and recommended solutions.
  • Support development of technical volumes, compliance matrices, and solution narratives for proposals.
Federal Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, research, and qualify federal opportunities through SAM.gov, agency forecasts, and partner networks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with program offices, contracting officers, and prime contractors.
  • Support capture planning, including competitive analysis, win themes, and teaming strategies.
  • Maintain and update CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with proposal teams to deliver compliant, compelling technical content.
  • Partner with marketing to refine technical collateral, capability statements, and presentations.
Industry Engagement
  • Represent the company at federal industry days, conferences, and technical forums.
  • Monitor federal technology trends, procurement priorities, and emerging requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, GovCon, or related technical roles.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with the federal acquisition lifecycle or willingness to learn quickly.

Compensation
